Lessons Learned

The most interesting part of my project is working with new people. It is interesting to me because I have never worked with a 7th grader before. Also something interesting about this project is going places and taking interviews about our project. I think it is interesting because you get to learn new stuff from what the interviewers are saying and at the same time you get spend some time with your friends after school, or sometimes in school.

Our biggest roadblock that my group handled is when we didn't have a mic for the interview we were doing. I think it is the biggest roadblock because we were interviewing a gym leader and the place we were interviewing that  person was at his gym. In the gym there was loud music so it was hard for us to find a good place to interview him. We handled it by taking a video of him on Maddie's phone. I also think that another roadblock is editing because only one of knew how to edit and that was Denae. Maddie our group leader has been teaching us how to edit so we know how to edit it by ourself.

The most valuable part of film making is the editing. I think it is true because it help us cut the things we don't need in the video. I also think it is the most valuable part of film making because it will help us make the video shorter.

Hiki No Behind The Scenes

 The project I am doing is health and obesity rate in Hawaii. I think that our project is going well because we have good interview and good b-roll. I think that we have good interview questions and the people we are interviewing are good for our project. I think we are making progress in our work.

 When the camera is not rolling we are are usually talking,watching the video we took or we are discussing what we are going to do next and making plans for our next interview. When the camera is not rolling we are also discussing some different questions we might ask the person. When its not rolling we might be setting up the camera or telling the person what kind of question we are going to ask them. We can also be talking about some other stuff, making jokes and laughing at them.

 One thing that I can do to help out my team is that I can help make more interview questions for an interview we are going to do or help set up the camera sometimes when the other people are setting up the mic and the tripod.

The experiment

The photoshop experiment is where we try and figure out what to do in photoshop. I think we did it so we know what is photoshop and how to use it. Something I did right is using my paintbrush tools to draw on my paper. Something I did wrong is trying to use some of the tools because I did not know how to use some of them. Also I had trouble figuring out how to get a sheet of paper for the first few minutes.   

Back to school

My favorite moment is when I got to see all my friends again. My biggest challenge was trying to find my classes on the first day of school, and meeting new people from different schools. Also working with new people is very challenging to me because I don't know them that much. I will try my best to do all my work and turn them in on time, and I will also take my last years teachers advice so I can be successful this year.
