Double Exposed Portraits

Portrait photography is a photo of a person or group that express there expression, personality, and their mood of the subject. A profile is an outline of a person face, usually one side of their faces. A silhouetting is an image of a person, animal, or an object that is usually black and the background is a color like white. A profile and silhouetting can relate to a portrait photography because we use only one side of the face like a profile and we are using the color white as the background just like a silhouette.

The first step making a double exposure in photoshop is too take photos and a profile of a person. Then the next step is too go to photoshop click on file, Scripts, then load file to stacks. After you are done with that you would chose the pictures you want. Next you would go to the dodge tool and start outlining the person. When your done with that you crop it to 8.5 - 11. Then you would take each layer and change them from normal to screen. Now you can click on layer on the top, new layer adjustments and you can explore on what you would want to do, for example you can do curves, contrast and exposure, etc. When your done with that you save to a jpg. I would want to make one because I thinks it a creative way to express yourself.

So for the practice double exposure my two pictures was a cement ground and the other one was a tree where the camera is place one the bark and its facing all the leaves and branches. For my multi one, the two pictures I use was Julie's bunny bc I love animals and a bunny is my second favorite animal and the other one was a text of the book that  I'm like reading right now. I think if symbolize me because I love reading and that a bunny is one of my favorite animals. I think the quality of my work could improve by probably taking a picture of a text from a book that can actually represent me. I also think that maybe I could have chose something that can also represent me that has colors because mine doesn't have that much color.

HDR Photography

HDR Photography means high-dynamic-range or HDR for short. HDR is use to make all of your photos that has a different exposure into one picture and blend it in. Something I like about is making them HDR on photoshop. I like how I get to make my own kind of photo. Something I dislike about it is that I hate how long it take us to take the photos. But overall I like the process of making an HDR photography.

The first step to creating and HDR photo is to take the photo. When taking the photo, on every photo you take you haft to change the exposure. So you would start on -3 and make your way up to +3, so that means you will have 7 photos. After you go have all your photos you will import them and then put them in photoshop. Then you put them in photoshop you would go file, automate, and merge to HDR. Then next you would chose your picture and let photoshop put them together. After your done with that you can custom it. It is different because you are doing more steps making the HDR photo in photoshop. 

The thought process behind the experiment photo is that i wanted to see her whole boys while she is on the ground also I wanted it to be an angle where the camera is on the ground and you can see the sky and her body. Also the thought process behind the landscape is that I wanted a landscape photo of where all the tress and bushes were in one photo and the sky peaking a little. Last but not least the thought process behind the superimpose is that I wanted her to be like on the ground and her looking up to the word imagine

Movie Trailer Critique

The movie trailer was about a girl disappearing and nobody knows about her except the people who are close to her. My teammates in my group was Ashely Alfiler , Eden Tjarks, and Julie Castro. On our trailer plan document we have 5 scene and also we have the voice acting script, characters, plot and a summery of our movie trailer. In the movie trailer I contributed by being the girl that tells Taylor to stop looking for Courtney. I was basically the girl who forgot Courtney and told everybody who was looking for her to stop.

The project requirements were having text layovers, is your video at least 1 min and 30 seconds to 2 minutes and 30 seconds, have your movie trailer poster in your trailer, and etc. Our group didn't complete all the requirements because our only 1 minutes and 28 seconds. The rest of them we completed it. We didn't complete one of them because of our b-roll didn't really fit into the trailer.

I agree with the results because I know we could improve our trailer. Also because I know we could have done better but we didn't because it was hard trying to the characters since someone had to go to Florida. I learned that we need to work together to get our work done faster. I also learned that we all need to cooperate to get everything done. Overall I learned that we need to teamwork to complete this movie trailer.

The main characters that is in my poster is Courtney Evermore and Taylor Evermore. Taylor Evermore is Courtney Evermore's sister and the only one in the family who remembers her. She is an adopted child. Courtney Evermore is the main character in our movie trailer. She plays the roll of the girl who disappear.  They are in the woods and Taylor's back is on the tree and Courtney's back is facing the other side of the tree.

Our title is Gone and Forgotten and we got this tittle from the plot in our movie trailer. The plot in our movie trailer is Courtney Evermore disappear out of no where and nobody except some people remember her. Other text that is in my movie poster is the characters in our trailer and what they are playing in our movie trailer. I also have movie reviews, and the characters that is in the movie trailer. Kerning is spacing the letters so it can fit in one sentence. We use kerning so the sentence can fit in one line.

The overall impact that my effects did is that it made my text pop. The effects I use one my text are stroke, drop shadow and bevel and emboss. On my picture I put a filter on. The filter made my picture look really dark but it also make it look like its from the old movie. I think that the filter I use made my text pop out.

Proactive or Procrastination?

To be honest I am a procrastinator. I am a procrastinator because when we have a lot of homework I always do them at the last minute. When we have a project due in 2 weeks I always do them the week it is due. Usually when I have homework on a Friday I don't do them until Sunday.  When I decided to do my work I always end up on my phone or on my computer watching random videos. Sometimes I will be doing my work after school and 3 hours later I would probably end up watching a random cat video. Every time I want to do my work and try to focus my parents want me to help my brother with his homework or do something they want me to do.

I use a lot of my free time to do homework or projects because when I use my homework time to just sit in my couch and watch t.v. When I have free time I never really use it because I haft to do my chores or help my brother. Usually I have a little bit of free time after I finished doing my homework since it takes me forever to do. It takes me a long time to do my homework even if I have only a little bit. A lot of times when I have homework to do over the weekend I usually do them at like 8:00 on a Sunday night.

I am not only a procrastinator at home I am also a procrastinator at school. For example when my group was suppose to be working on our trailer plan I was taking pictures. Another example of me being a procrastinator in school is that when I was taking to my elbow partner about something in another class  I was suppose to be doing my class work that I didn't finish the other day. I think that I procrastinate at school more than at home. Even though I finish a lot of my homework at school I still procrastinate more at school than home because I rush doing my work.

Something I could change about my work habits is that I can move to a quiet place. Other things I can do is when I am doing my homework is that I can take a 5 minute break one in a while. I could also do my homework right after I come home. Something I can also do is to try be organized my work area. I could do other thing like working outside in my yard or in a peaceful place.

My Visual Poem

My visual poem is about friendship. It was also about how we spend time together and how our bond is strong. How we get along with each other and how we can act like our self with each other. I have a group of friends who are crazy, weird, loud, and who laughs a lot. I think the visuals make my poem alive. It shows what my poem is all about. Even though I couldn't get some clips that will match the words in my poem I still think that it turned out pretty good. The visuals made an impact to my poem because it showed what I was trying to say.

I think the special effects I added made my poem more friendly. I had a couple of transitions in the beginning and in the end. I added the ken burns affect to a lot of my photos and I think I made them look like it wasn't just a photo but more like a video without movements. The affects made the mood more friendly. I didn't add that much effects because I only started putting effects at last minute.

I am satisfied with my poem because I like the way it turned out. When I finished my poem and watched it, I was really happy with how it turned out. My poem turned out better than I thought it would. I could make my poem better by adding more B-roll and adding more transitions and effects. I could also say my poem again because there were some sounds in the background. I am really satisfied with how my poem turned out in the end.

Finished News Story

Our story was about health and obesity rate. It talked about why people should be more fit and about their healthy life. The people who contributed in this was Kyla Bautista, Denae Sacramed, and our team leader Maddie Hoesel. The people we interview was Missy Hoesel, Maddie's mom, Josh Nations, and Heidi Tokuda.

The final turned out really good. I really like how it turned out. The final turned out better then I thought. I think that it was hard working on this project because it was a new to me. It was also hard working on this project because after Maddie left for vacation we had to figure out what we can do to make the video better without our team leader. But I believed that we did the best we could do.
